In 2022 the Teaching Certificate will shift to the Faculty of Medicine’s Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education Unit. This will become an 18 month program to support preceptors of all learners.
Until this program is launched, Dalhousie Family Medicine will celebrate any certificants who have completed the DFM program criteria outlined here.
Once details of the new program are known we will be sure to share with all faculty.
Our program is available to all faculty members of DFM who are members of the CFPC or who are members of the Royal College and teach family medicine residents. The Fundamental Teaching Skills Program addresses competencies that are required of the clinical preceptor in the clinical coach role. Read more...
Our program is available to all faculty members of DFM who are members of the CFPC or who are members of the Royal College and teach family medicine residents. The Advanced Teaching Skills certificate is available to faculty who have successfully completed the fundamental teaching skills certificate.
