FTA activity:
- Explicitly embodies the roles, attitudes, and competencies of a family physician in clinical work.
- Promotes and stimulates clinical reasoning and problem solving.
Objectives:
- Understands the importance of orientation as an opportunity to clarify the learning objectives of the learner
- Understand that orientation affords an opportunity to establish learning styles and discuss how feedback and evaluation will be done
- Review important logistical requirements such as preparing your staff and patients for having a learner
Approved modules/workshops to meet requirement:
- Workshop delivered by Dalhousie Family Medicine on Orientation or Preparing for your Learner
- Orientation module Dalhousie Clinician as Teacher course
- Workshop or course delivered by Dalhousie Family Medicine or Dalhousie CPD/Faculty Development on Orientation or Preparing for your learner
